I don't photoshop like this often enough...photos like this are what sparked my photoshop addiction a few months ago. Check out the collage that re-inspired me to dust off the keyboard...
I'm off to home depot for something...not sure what, but I am sure I need it. Have a good Saturday!
This is the 5th, quiet member of our family, "Birdie". Here he is enjoying a cup of tea (He knows he is drinking from the creamer.)
Birdie gets around a lot. He is my daughter's constant companion. He comes along into the grocery store, Costco, the park...in the car he wears his own sealtbelt. Most recently, he has been enjoying trips to the escrow office, where everyone knows his name. When he gets there, my daughter places him in a chair and places candy at his feet so he can have a snack. Afterall, flying makes you hungry...
He usually doesn't like the extra attention, but he agreed to help me out with some photography experiments recently.
My daughter didn't mind either. She told Birdie to sit still.
We had a nice time at my brother's house last weekend to celebrate my mother's birthday. My brother and his fiancé have...FIVE dogs! I have new respect for the pet photographer...this is as good of a shot of this group I could get. That's my dog "Ichiro" on the left.. followed by Pugsy, Ally and Cujo respectively.
We've been eating a lot of strawberries lately at Luggage Manor and I have been mesmerized by the veining on the inside of each berry. Since I cut the strawberries in half for the Carry-On to enjoy, I have been taking the time to study each berry. Look at those white lines...some strong, some faint, but all radiating to a seed on the outside of the berry!
Inspired in talking with Andrea and by eb's watercolor pages, I used a clear sakura glaze pen as a resist under the acrylic paint on this page. The best surprise of all was using the new Ranger white pen (you know I am a white pen connoisseur..)...the ink flows really well and without skipping! In fact, I am going to go out on a limb here and say I like this pen MUCH better than the Signo white pen!
Thanks for visiting, I'll see you tomorrow!
Sea World San Diego, my way. We visit the park about 3 times a week these days...the weather is perfect for power-walking the park and snacking on pop corn. Yesterday was a treat because Mr. Luggage was able to come with us... normally it's too much trouble for me to wrangle the Carry On plus the camera equipment plus the regular barrage of stuff small children require. All of these pictures were taken using my 50mm lens. Which one is your favorite? I am partial to that shot of the jelly-fish myself. Hope you have a great day today! Thank you for visiting with me!
Yesterday's mystery photo was a close up of this guy; he's hanging out on a brightly colored viewing pedestal at the San Diego Wild Animal Park. I was trying to so hard to get a picture of him on some plants, but the naughty children were pestering him too much...even though we had to listen to the park employees tell us not to handle the butterflies before we were allowed into the enclosure. Seems parents were not listening. See that shade of blue there? That is the color he turns when his wings open! Amazing! Kimbo guessed correctly! Hooray!
See you tomorrow for some more fun!
